  • Science Fair

    Mon 25 Mar 2019 Iola Seaton-Reid
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Science Fair and helped to make it such a success.  The children and our visitors were most impressed with our pupils' work and enjoyed wandering around the many tables which included a 3D printer demonstration; FUZE computer programming; students from Oxford University talking about the heart and carrying out heart monitoring; a local GP brought in a variety of human bones and instruments from his practice; a horticulturist planted seeds with the children, a nurse demonstrated the spread of germs and a STEM ambassador made exploding volcanoes.  We will definitely be repeating the fair next year so if you are interested in getting involved please contact Mrs Courtney.

  • Dare to Dream, Royal Albert Hall 18.03.19

    Tue 19 Mar 2019 Iola Seaton-Reid
Our choir sang their hearts out last night at the Royal Albert Hall performing the world premiere of the opera Dare to Dream, a work  commissioned by Bucks Music Trust, written by Hannah Conway.  The hours of rehearsal paid off and the children did us proud performing with pupils from schools across Buckinghamshire to an audience of 5000;  a night we are sure they will never forget.

  • Appointment of Headteacher

Fri 08 Feb 2019 Sally Perkins

Mrs Witton has been fulfilling the role of Interim Headteacher for the past year.  The Governing Body with support from the Local Authority and Diocese carried out the interview process for a substantive Headteacher on the 31st January.  I am now in a position to confirm the outcome of this.  Following a robust and rigorous interview process I am delighted to confirm that Mrs Witton has been appointed as the substantive Headteacher for the school.

On behalf of the governors I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during the past year.  Your children are a real credit to you and the school and this was highlighted as a key strength during the interview process.  I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible over the coming months.

    Sally Perkins, Chair of  Governors
