The Government released a New National Curriculum in September 2014. The Curriculum provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge that they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.
Broadly, the aims of our school are to ensure that every child acquires the knowledge, skills, attitudes and concepts necessary for them to develop intellectually, spiritually, morally and physically, according to his or her own individual need.
We provide a broad and balanced curriculum where learning develops from the child’s own experiences and interest in a stimulating classroom environment. Learning activities are planned which take account of the individual needs of children, and we aim to develop positive attitudes towards learning and relationships. We regard the social, emotional, cultural and physical needs of children as equally important as the academic.
