Yesterday our intrepid team of swimmers represented Oakley School at the 2024 Thame Rotary Swimathon at Thame Leisure Centre.  They did us proud swimming an incredible 110 lengths in 55 minutes.  So far they have raised £195.00, which will be shared between Thame Rotary and our pool maintenance fund.  If you are able to make a small donation please use the link below which will be available for another week.  Thank you so much for your support and huge thanks to Jess, Megan, Ariadne, Ophelia, James and Josh for swimming so well.

  • Motivational Presentation by Andy of Urban Strides

Fri 24 Nov 2023 Serena Courtney

Our Key Stage 2  pupils enjoyed a visit from Andy from Urban Strides who talked about resilience and keys to success.  He was so inspiring the staff are now considering new careers in street dance.  The children learned about Andy’s journey and he taught them about ‘accepting the challenge’, ‘grabbing opportunities’, ‘practice makes progress’ and surrounding themselves with people who will support and encourage their dreams.  Many who have been to Young Voices will know Andy from the dance moves we learn and for performing street dance live on stage as part of the performance.  His passion is contagious so let’s hope it inspires our children to follow their dreams.
