Red Nose Day 19th March 2021
Fri 12 Mar 2021Rothschild House will be leading our fundraising efforts on Friday 19th March. This year's theme is superheros.
Our children are welcome to wear something red or a superhero costume for a £1.00 donation. Official Red Noses are available to buy via your ParentPay account and a cake sale will take place in the afternoon with any left overs on sale on the grass verge after school - please observe safe social distancing rules.

Whole School Cookery Class
Fri 26 Feb 2021Miss Schonert led a whole school cookery class this morning with the children creating a delicious selection of pizzas.
We all had lots of fun creating faces with the variety of toppings.

Lambing Live
Thu 25 Feb 2021Today Ixhill Farm invited us into their lambing shed via MS Teams. Our children experienced the busy farm at work. They saw many ewes with their newborn lambs and during the afternoon session witnessed a birth.
We are so grateful to the Cox family for sharing this special day.

Share Some Love for Our Key Workers
Fri 12 Feb 2021Robins' Class created a beautiful display of love hearts for our front gate to 'Share Some Love' with all the key workers who live in our village. Thank you for all you do and Happy St Valentine's Day.

No Drama Llama Whole School Art Sessions
Fri 12 Feb 2021Today Miss Schonert led the final whole school art session by putting the finishing touches to our paintings. We look forward to displaying all the masterpieces after the half term break.
This was such an enjoyable project and huge thanks must go to all our staff and especially Gabi Schonert for her expertise and encouragement in convincing us that every one of us can all draw and paint.

FOS Sponsor a Book Initiative
Mon 25 Jan 2021Tremendous thanks must go to our incredible FOS team for organising the Sponsor a Book initiative.
We had donations from parents, grandparents, members of the community and local businesses and a grand total of £1025.00 was raised.
A wonderful selection of books have been received by the school with many aimed at assisting dyslexic students. Each book bought will have a special book plate on the inside front cover as a lasting thank you to our supporters.

Bernie the 'Food Bank' Bus Visit
Thu 19 Nov 2020Bernie the Bus visited Oakley School to collect the huge donation of non-perishable food items and toys from our families.
These will be distributed amongst less fortunate families in our community by the Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse.

Children In Need
Fri 13 Nov 2020Yet again we held a very successful Children In Need fundraiser organised by Blenheim House members. Our yellow/spotty mufti, yellow tombola, cake sale and sale of official CIN merchandise all proved very popular.
Thank you to all our parents for their tremendous support.
The event raised £253.38 for the charity.

Remembrance Day Commemorations
Wed 11 Nov 2020Social distancing rules didn't stop us marking this very special day. Chiltern House led the commemorations held on the playground.
This year each child painted a pebble which they placed round a beautiful wreath made from photos of their hands holding a painted poppy.
A few minutes before 11.00am poems were read then we observed 2 minute's silence to remember the sacrifice made by so many to give us peace.
Though online donations we raised £103.00 for the Royal British Legion.

VE Day Celebrations
Thu 07 May 2020Our children have been celebrating VE Day in school today. This morning they made bunting and created Spitfire sponge paintings. After lunch they baked jam tarts which they enjoyed at their street party on the playground. We hope you all enjoy your celebrations tomorrow.
