Calor Rural Community Fund

Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative.  Calor awarded Oakley School £500 towards our project.  Oakley Parish Council very generously donated a further £525 plus over £3000 was raised by our parents and friends.  Work to replace the pool liner will commence in the spring.  We really did make a splash!

Our wonderful parent, school ambassador and Oakley socialite, Kelly Gee, has nominated our school for the Calor Rural Community Fund.  This gives us the opportunity of being awarded £5,000 towards a school project.

Our pool is much loved and well used each spring and summer by all our pupils at least once a week.  Sadly the current liner is coming to the end of its life and after a couple of summers of patch ups it really is time to replace it but this is expensive.

We are hopeful that if we are awarded the £5,000 from Calor plus donations we will be able to replace the liner and also refurbish our rather tired changing rooms too.

The scheme works on a points system.  We get 1 point for each 'like' and 10 points for each cash pledge, regardless of the amount so even a £1 donation will give us 10 valuable points.  If you are able to pledge please also press 'like' so we receive an extra point.

We really hope you will support this initiative which will benefit every child in our school.

The closing date for likes and pledges is Thurday 16th June so please don't delay in making your pledge.
