  • Introducing Sunset Club to be run by Oakley Pre-School

    Wed 28 Jun 2023 Iola Seaton-Reid

    Dear Parents & Carers

Oakley Pre-school is excited to announce that we will be offering a new Sunset Club for children of Oakley School from September – extending afternoon wrap-around care until 6pm. This will be offered on a pilot basis during 2023-24, as we assess the demand for this later session.

Sunset Club will run in a similar way to our popular Breakfast Club. Children would finish school, attend After School Club and Second Hour (book & pay with School) and then at 5.15pm move into Sunset Club until they are picked up (no later than 6pm).

Child-led free play will be encouraged, with a range of age-appropriate games and activities available to encourage a restful end to their day.

Full details (including the 2023-24 booking form) are available at www.oakleypreschool.co.uk/sunset-club. Pre-booking is essential to enable us to ensure appropriate child:adult ratios are in place.

If you have any questions, please let us know on preschoolchairman@oakley.bucks.sch.uk.

    Kind regards

    Jo Grey, Chair Oakley Pre-school

    Kirsten Ebeling-Hornett, Manager Oakley Pre-school.

  • Badgers' Class Trip to Bray Lake Water Sports Centre

Fri 23 Jun 2023 Serena Courtney

Badgers had a fantastic day at Bray Lake having the opportunity to try dinghy sailing, stand up paddle boarding and canoeing.  I think they had most fun cooling off in the lake!  Such a great day and the children really rose to the challenge to try new things.  Very proud of my class as always.

  • Sports Day Champions

    Wed 21 Jun 2023 Iola Seaton-Reid

After a very close finish Blenheim were crowned champions of our annual sports day.  Thank you to everyone who came along to support the day and to Mrs Cochrane and all the staff for such fantastic organisation making the morning run so smoothly.

  • Mindful Minis

    Tue 06 Jun 2023 Iola Seaton-Reid

Lucy from Mindful Minis joined us for the day today.  She spent time with each class teaching them breathing exercises and some yoga poses to help with wellbeing and relaxation.  All our children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the very useful sessions.
