About us

Every parent at Oakley School automatically belongs to ‘Friends of Oakley School’ (FOS). We have a committee of at least 9 parents who take the lead in organising fundraising events and schemes throughout the year and we are very fortunate in having the support of many other people who help us raise money for our school in a wide variety of ways:

  • We run a Christmas fayre and summer fete, school discos and other social events to include both pupils and parents.

  • We run clubs for parents of the pupils - the FOS 100 club and the cake club.

  • We are big into recycling and raise money by recycling clothes.

FOS also supports the school in many other ways:

We provide refreshments at various productions and sports days and we represent Oakley School by attending the local Oakley social centre at the village hall to discuss community projects.

  • Please contact the Committee via email at friendsofoakleyschool@hotmail.com

Where does the raised money go?

Our fundraising activities have so far this year enabled the children to have brand new lockers to store their bags and PE kits. We have also contributed towards the cost of the Ipads to enable all of the children to further their learning.

We have provided transport costs for several trips including Class 4’s trip to the British Museum, Class 3’s trip to Shakespeare Globe Theatre and a whole school trip to Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in Quainton.

Moving forward we are working with Mrs Sulston and the staff to provide each year group with some additional funding to supplement their budget in order to enhance their resources as they wish.
