The Oakley based Holmes family are organising a fun, family fundraising event on Oakley Air Field on Sunday 5th May. This is to raise funds for the Will Houghton Foundation.
Will was only 20 when he was hit by a car and killed whilst training on his bike riding back to University, where he was studying Sports Science in Portsmouth. This was three years ago now, but it still feels like yesterday. Will was one of life's amazing people, he was inspirational, empathetic and had so much to give. He was my son's best friend, cycling buddy and like another son to us. His family who live in Great Missenden are obviously devastated and their lives will never be the same. There wish is to keep Will's name alive and they created the Will Houghton Foundation to support underprivileged children and disabled children gain access to sports which they usually would not have access too. Will would of been so proud of this and everything they have achieved in his name. It is a registered charity and if anyone would like to learn more about it, please pass on the link
